Our history

Supporting Colorado’s custom architectural metal fabrication needs since 1896.

It’s hard to walk down the block in Colorado and not see something that we played a part in creating. With over 100 years of exceeding our customers’ expectations, Scherer Metals has become a valued Colorado tradition.

From it's start as a small metal shop over 110 years ago to its current focus on architectural metal fabrication, Scherer's work graces hundreds of buildings and residences in and around Denver. Quality craftsmenship

has been the company's trademark, as is evidenced in the 1970 replication of the original Larimer Street light fixtures and more recently in the construction of building entrance facades, canopies, elevators, sculptural metal installations and so much more throughout the community.

Scherer's century-old portfolio includes: waving ribbons and information desk at Tabor Center; brass handrails at CO State Capitol; stainless steel rails and pans at Columbine Memorial; exterior stainless steel at Ruby's Diner; Larimer Square light fixtures; and much more.
